Look what she bought me today.

400g of Cadbury Dairy Milk pleasure.
Bonus points to whoever can guess from the following clue what I bought this afternoon that made me a very happy camper.
“I don’t believe in reincarnation because I refuse to come back as a bug, or as a rabbit.”
“You know, you’re a real ‘up’ person.”
And then there’s the fact the Tigers won yesterday against the top of the ladder crows, the fact we bought a new washing machine today with the last of our wedding gift vouchers, that we now have Gremlins 1 & 2 on DVD ($16 for them both!) and the the marvellous Ren dropped off 12 cans of A & W Root Beer yesterday afternoon.
UPDATE
And the winner is Josh. I finally purchased ‘NEW order A COLLECTION’. All of their video clips in one great package, and I couldn’t be happier. Bert seems to be enjoying them too.
As Mel has already pointed out after what seemed an endless run of bleak, grey days here in Melbourne town the sun has finally put its hat on and come out to play. At the Malloy residence every door is open, as is every window. Three loads of washing are on the line, one is in the machine and another is piled ready to go. We’re ouside now with Bert having his morning tea (a rusk) while he sits in his swing. Bella is lying on her back soaking up the delicious rays and I’m working on the laptop in a t-shirt.
It’s too nice a day to waste, once this work is done Bert and I are off for a stroll. I think I can feel lunch at The Coat coming on.

Update
Bert and I had a lovely lunch in the garden at The Coat. You can see (courtesy of my phone) what Bert shared with me and their resident visiting cat on my Flickr page.
After more trouble with his, um, googlies, Shane Warne’s wife Simone has declared “I just want to hide under a palm tree with my kids”.
I wonder why she chose a palm tree? Why not a fir? Maybe a lemon? At the moment I’d probably choose a lime tree, it goes well in my Pepsi. And of all the places to hide under a tree probably isn’t the best place, you’re pretty easy to spot.
A while ago I put a photo of my desk on this blog, it even ended up in the Flickr cool picture thingy for the use of notes.
We’ve moved house since then and the desk has changed a little so I thought I should update the picture. Click on the pic below to be taken to the Flickr page for notes on what is what.
Just when was the last time I wore these jeans? There’s a winning scratchy in my back pocket – I’m a whole $2 better off than I thought I was.
Our phone bill arrived in the mail today. One of these days I’m going to do a degree in Phonebillology so I can make sense of it. They did make one error though – it was very easy to see how much our long distance calls cost. That was a very big mistake to make because I have started experimenting with VOIP using Skype. (Mum, this means making phone calls using the computer over the internet instead of a phone over phone lines.) As long as you’re not using up your bandwidth with torrents or downloads the quality is fine.
On our current bill we made 67 minutes of ‘National Calls’. For this honour we were charged $13.50. Using Skype instead it would have cost us $2.10. Sorry Optus, that’s the last time you will be charging us for national calls, and when our contract expires we’ll probably drop our land line too.
When I have to go back to work there are some habits I’ve picked up that are going to be hard to break.
But the hardest will be not picking up my boy and giving him a hug whenever I want.
