Car-runch

That’s the sound a red Holden Commodore makes when it kisses a stationary Mitsubishi Lancer on Queens Rd, just near Kings Way, at 4:30pm on a Friday afternoon.

I was gazing out the window at the time and didn’t see him coming up from behind. There was no screech of brakes and it was only a gentle touch but sounded pretty impressive from inside the car. From the outside it looks as if nothing happened but the leasing company want it checked out regardless.

What a great start to the weekend.

  1. Bugger. Regular route of mine and I see many cars kiss. Build up in Queens Road back from Westgate Bridge, quite likely in evening peak. Free flowing Queens Road often stops. Take care.

  2. I’ve driven that road every working day for the past five years Andrew, I had a funny feeling it was only a matter of time. No surprise though that it happened on a Friday – traffic on a Friday evening is just horrendous as everyone is in a hurry to start their weekend.
