From Pumpkin Diary:
List five songs that you are currently digging - it doesn’t matter what genre they are from, whether they have words, or even if they’re not any good, but they must be songs you’re really enjoying right now. Post these instructions and the five songs (with artist) in your blog. Then tag five people to see what they’re listening to.
1. Etta James At Last Cheating with this link though, as my version is from the Rain Man soundtrack. I have a thing for soundtracks. They make up the favourite albums in my collection.
2. George Baker Selection Little Green Bag It’s the catchy do-doo’s at the end of this track that get me humming and jigging everytime.
3. Peter Allen I go to Rio. Yes, I’m aware of how daggy this song is, but it always makes me smile and waggle my arms about as if I’m holding onto maracas. Garn, you try listening to it without shaking your maracas.
4. Lyle Lovett Teach Me About Love. Ok, so this one just grabs me. From the Clay Pigeons soundtrack, there are a few songs on that one that get me singing or bopping or both. Lyle may have hit the big time by marrying some big haired red-headed chick, but I really like this song and would even if I’d never heard of him.
5. Debussy’s Claire De Lune. I just love the lilt in this. Simply beautiful.
I have to admit, I don’t listen to my choice of music as often as I would like. My car now sits in the garage and we use Tony’s every day, so my CDs now sit in my car alongside my stereo. I’m more than likely to have the radio on than the stereo. Still, if I’m to listen to anything, these 5 songs would be top of my list to play.
Nominations!
1. Spreegirl
2. Catboy
3. Melly Feline
4. Gin and Tonic Please
