Daniel showed us his train station this week.
Even though it’s not my local (and anyway I’m almost smack bang in the middle of two) I love Williamstown train station. It’s a lonely station, at the end of the line, one platform and a timeless countenance. I also love the decaying overpass that’s no longer needed but is of such historic value the council, state government and who ever runs the trains this week should stop squabbling and fix it before it’s too late.
So, here’s my train station.
(And here’s a bigger pic)
I wish now I had taken a photo of the train station in Florence. Monumental fascist architecture in extremis – but it made for a very impressive looking station.
