Tbe Kindness Of Family and Friends

Ah, what a weekend we had and all thanks to the wonderful kindness of family and friends. The twins are eight weeks old now and Rae has them in enough of a routine that we can generally plan for a couple of hours activity around their feeds. Saturday we took advantage of this ran off to The Sun to watch a movie, yes, a real life honest to goodness motion picture! It was the perfect movie to escape to, Die Hard 4.0. What a load of entertaining bumpkin. Nana Zita and Uncle Rob meanwhile stayed home and looked after all of the kids.

Sunday Rae and I had double booked afternoon events - she was off to a matinee of a Danny Kaye tribute and I was off to farewell Sheeds at the MCG. Thankfully the incredible Ren came to the rescue and bravely put up her hand to help us out. One Ren versus three under the age of two - now that’s courage. I hear backup, in the form of her mum, arrived after a little while but I’m sure she didn’t need it. What made it even more generous was that my Tigers thumped he Bombers.

And going back a couple of weeks Veronica came over and sat the kids too while Rae ran off for some shopping and appointments for herself. This on one of her mid-week days off;  anyone who works knows how precious those days are.

So, thanks to Veronica, Zita, Rob and Ren. It was fantastic to have a bit of ‘us’ time and we couldn’t have done it without you.

More than happy to help out! :) And really, you don’t have to bribe me with expensive choccies - though they did go down very nicely that night with a big cup of tea. Thanks Rae!
