It would appear we need a new girl’s name. I am NOT happy Jan. Please tell me this is an April Fools Joke.

    Bugger indeed. I imagine this is what the parents who’d planned to call their child ‘Barbara’ (Barbie) felt. Unless they just really like Barbeques.

    You don’t happen to have an affinity for the Kennedy family do you?

    Me? I always thought Jen was a cool name.

    Seems to be real, and I think you’re sunk on Kennedy (unless you want to roll the dice and bet the doll’s popularity won’t last …? this is fraught though - one of my friends has a 9-year-old called Britney, named for “a cute mouseketeer that no-one will remember anyway”, to quote her at the time).

    Best of luck finding a substitute … I don’t know what your criteria are, but one of girls in Elizabeth’s swimming class is called Ariana, which I thought was quite pretty (and it’s a real name too, not a made-up one). Although, Ariana and Archie … bit too theme-y, probably … ah well. Something will come.

    Um, Josh you cannot call a girl joshINA it sounds way too much like a part of the female anatomy. Rae if you call her Jen the worst she’ll get is ‘Jen the Hen’.
