Some Things
It’s almost a full week since we’ve discovered our one baby is actually two and we’re almost getting accustomed to the idea that our wonderful plans of adding one more and how we would manage that have been completely blown out of the water thanks to one tiny extra egg. We know we’ll cope baby-wise, we’ve managed to get Bert to 17 months okay, but the challenge is going to be in the management and juggling of three kids under two.
With a bit of re-arranging we can fit everyone in this house for a few years so our initial panic at having to run out and buy our own place ahead of schedule has abated but there’s no way we can avoid the expense of a new (second hand) car. God help us, we’re going to need a (shudder) people mover. Three kids in car/booster seats and one growing at an alarming rate. Uncle Rob is on the case for this one so we’re in good hands.
We’ve been a little overwhelmed at all of the offers of help and thanks to some wonderful people we’ve already secured an extra cot and maybe a double pram. Clothes are already being accumulated and knitting-nana has been put on notice that those needles need to get busy. We’d secured one basinet and I think Rae has her eye on another (or that could have been a cot, I’m getting a little confused already).
Now, the two most important things. Names and teams.
Names - we have one girls name decided already if needed (see name of blog!) but we need to come up with three more - one girl and two boys. Maybe we could hold an E-bay auction, you get to name one child. That’s one way of paying for a new car, although probably not the best display of good parenting.
And finally the most pressing matter - footy teams. We’ve pretty much reached a non-amicable decision that it will be one each, thus bringing balance to the force. Rae has reserved the right to decide which twin is the evil one is forced to barrack for the Doggies and given what she has ahead of her in six or so months time I really can’t argue.

– We’ll know that’s what you ended up doing if one of the kids is called Mitsubishi Malloy.

I think Rae should be given the right to choose the team for both babies. All previous agreements should be null and void now that you are having twins - unless you have a prearranged ‘just in case we have twins’ clause.

You know Suzuki Malloy isn’t a ‘bad’ name. You could always just call her suzy. Maybe call two boys Bull Dog Malloy and Tiger Malloy?
