Canadification
Bert is already taking after his dad. A three week trip back in 1999 has left me with an abiding love of all things Canadian. He’s already a Canucks supporter and this morning, if the look on his face was anything to go by, he loves real Canadian maple syrup too.
He was having a good old whinge while we were having breakfast so we smeared a tiny amount of maple syrup on his dummy and popped it in his mouth. His eyes instantly shot open and he began sucking as if his life depended on it.
That’s my boy.
