Thank goodness!
Never have I been so thankful for my hips and baby-pushing-out-ability. Reading Whatever this morn, I can’t believe it costs this much to have a c-section.
It’s a situation where you really have to have insurance or go bust. Or in Australia you go public, but does that cost too? I have no idea. Thankfully I’ve not yet had to find out.

Nope, c-sections (or at least emergency ones) by public don’t cost anything. Sometimes it makes me appreciate the Australian healthcare system when I hear about all the horror stories from overseas.

To second Sussy - c-sections are free on the public system. I had two of ‘em, net cost to me, $0.00. (Or 15 years’ worth of my Medicare levy as A Good Taxpayer, whichever way you prefer to look at it).
