Another thank you

At the arvo tea, Knack decided to put together a box for presents. Instead of bringing presents, she suggested visitors drop a couple of dollars in the box so that we could buy Albert something that we needed. We put this collection into an ING account that we put together for him, until we discovered something worthwhile that we needed to buy him.

One night home and we knew.

First off, an oil column heater for our bedroom. It’s so cold in that room overnight. Fine for us adults who can control our temperatures, but not at all good for a little boy who is unable to keep his uncovered head warm.

Secondly, a baby monitor. We’d discussed getting one before his birth, but had both pooh-poohed the idea, as we’re in such a small house, it really didn’t seem to be something we’d need. One day of being home and we rediscussed the idea and thought we would be better off with one and it’s so come in handy over the past week. I’m really glad we got that thing.

So there you go. If you dropped a dollar or two into that box on the day of the arvo tea, I’d like to thank you very much for the two wonderful gifts you helped to buy for us. xx

Ahhh, oil column heaters… when we brought Bram home from the horse-pickle, we thought we’d have to move house, it was so cold! Luckily the rational part of our brains kicked in (the one that doesn’t like packing and unpacking boxes) and we got ourselves a heater instead.
