Feeling good

Tuesday, December 28th, 2004

A couple days in the countryside has made me feel really good. We’re just back from Shepp and I think the whole houseload of us are happy and relaxed.
The fresh air, the relaxed mode of everyone and everything, the walks after dinner, the smiles and genuine happiness. Geez, it’s hard to take (hint, that’s […]

Body changes

Tuesday, December 21st, 2004

At week 8, officially tomorrow, I am supposed to be noticing small changes in my clothing. Not noticable to others, but clothes should be tighter around the bust, waist and hips.
Oh dear. I fear that has started already. I noticed my PJs were a little odd last night. And they are my ultra-comfy Peter […]

A hungry day

Monday, December 20th, 2004

Some days are hungry days. That’s just how it is. I could feel guilty about it, or I could eat.
I choose to eat. I aim to eat healthily, but if there’s something chocolatey and disgusting on offer, I know what I’d prefer to be scoffing.
Harrumph.

A Little Bird Told Me

Thursday, December 16th, 2004

We told Phee tonight.
She’s over the moon at the thought of a little brother or sister, apparently ‘everyone else at school is having one’ so we should too.
She had two questions.
“Will I still go to school and how will I get there?”
and
“Where will it sleep.”
Such a beaming face, so happy. Just wait until reality sinks […]

Handwritten

Wednesday, December 15th, 2004

A while ago, Tony bought a journal. He didn’t know why and he didn’t understand what it was for at the time.
Today he asked me how I was feeling and I told him. He asked if I felt that way with Phee and I answered that I couldn’t remember. Then we got to talking about […]

Screw it

Tuesday, December 14th, 2004

Tis so obvious the hormones are raging through my body today. I woke up in an average mood, then things fizzled from there.
Got to work late, but stayed in an average mood, trying not to be the moody bitch that everyone seems to think I am (yes, perhaps not everyone, but this just goes to […]

Book ‘em Tony

Monday, December 13th, 2004

Today was booking day. As I work at Cabrini Health, and have done for about 13 (or is it 14?) years and we have ridiculously expensive private health insurance through MBF it seems like as good a place as any to go. That and the fact I’ve had a lot to do with 2 South, […]

The Important Stuff

Monday, December 13th, 2004

This evening was spent researching an important topic on the net. How to introduce our cats to Albert/Kennedy.
It would be such a shame to have to take the baby to a shelter if they didn’t get along.

What Have You Read

Sunday, December 12th, 2004

You can never be too prepared, or so I think.
Anyone have any good recommendations for pre, during and post pregnancy?

What’s in a name?

Saturday, December 11th, 2004

Today when Tony was speaking with his mum Lois on the phone, she asked about the surname. What had we discussed? Would the baby have his or mine?
He called out to me curiously, as we’d not even talked about it and he had no ideas on what I thought.
Quick as a flash I grinned and […]
