Sitting in the lounge tonight we hear sirens. They get louder, and louder.

“They’re in our street, or just around the corner.” says Rae and a second later they stop.

I grabbed the camera and ran outside, a fire engine was there and two ambulances followed moments later. I took a snap and then realised that the ambo’s where heading in to our elderly neighbours house.

Fingers crossed all is okay. The fire truck and ambulance are still there half an hour later.

UPDATE. Our neighbour, Joe, passed away last night.
