2005.

Happy New Year to all!

Except to the idiots setting off fireworks in the next block, scaring our cats and every dog within cooee. But I’m sure that’s not you so happy new year.

    Hope you had a nice one. There were emergency flares and all sorts of things being shot around our way.

    I celebrated midnight with the Arabs, down in Newcastle Street park. They mainly had skyrockets, but I had a huge Roman candle. When the skyrockets were all gone (the park was filled with smoke) I set up the Roman candle. But three little kids gathered around and wouldn’t bugger off, so I lit the fuse – and ran! Soon as it started firing they ran too, all in different directions. Terrific fun.
